The
playschool was founded in 1994, and became a registered
pre- and playschool in the beginning of 1997. We
are situated close to the city center in a former
army barracks area. The environment is ideal for
children due to its secluded location surrounded
by nature.
Our
playschool is a private pre- and playschool. We
offer the benefits of the Finnish day care such
as a breakfast, a hot lunch and a snack.
Our
curriculum follows the regulations and law about
day care,
but has got a more international perspective. We
take Finnish children who want to learn English
as their second language or want to maintain and
improve their language skills, or foreign children
who want to go on with their primary school. Both
full - or part-time places are available.
Children can enter our playschool at the age of
three. The Finnish children start school at the
age of seven, when they move on into the lower grades
of the comprehensive school. The International Classes
of Myllytulli Comprehensive school are also situated
in the same area and we enjoy close links with them.
